This week in science class, we learned about how independent variables go on the x axis and the dependent goes on the y axis. We also learned about how independent variable stands for compare, dependent variable stands for measure and control variable stands for same. We also did simulations that explained the growth of bacteria and how to make a good graph. The reason we learned to make a graph the right way is because more then half the class did it wrong on the homework. I was as well one of them and i didn't understand exactly how to. Plus, i didn't understand independent, dependent, and control variables the right way. When i did my graph, i had it all wrong. We did the bacteria simulation because when we did our lab, most of us ( including me ) weren't focused and my whole group didn't take notes. The main ideas were to understand everything in science better. For example, we did the bacteria simulation because we didn't understand exactly how much initial population there really was and we were counting huge blobs when really, there were billions of little bacterias in there we just couldn't see it. In conclusion, this week in science we learned about some pretty helpful things.
