This week in science on Monday, and Tuesday we worked on our projects. Then on Wednesday we had to play with the cockroaches. First what we did on Wednesday though, was we took notes on how to take observations. Some things we learned were:
-take notes, descriptions, words
-look for patterns, trends
-is it unique?
-make and include opinion
-draw a picture or take pictures
-background information-> variables
-assumptions
-use all 5 scenes (accept for taste)
After that we observed the cockroaches. We started to play around with them and see how they reacted to our environment. I drew a picture and in my picture i drew how the cockroach looked from above. The cockroach was a mix of brown and black on its back, and had a total of 6 black legs.
Then on Thursday, we took the test, it was hard and kind of confusing.
Lastly, on Friday, we finished up our tests. When we were done we had to play with the cockroaches. I got 20 bullet points on them and a large picture. Im still sort of afraid to touch them but as time goes on i dont think i will be as scared.
