This week in sciene. . .
Monday: Study Hall!!!!!
Tuesday: On Tuesday we were all emailed the work, and what to do. Rather than doing what i was supposed to, i read all about cells as well as other people in the class because i dont get your emails so i was just emailed the link and read the wrong one :(
Wednesday: On Wednesday, we went over Tuesday's assignment. After that, we talked bout clouds. Mr. Finley showed us how to make clouds in a bottle and we made a hypothesis why. We learned about how the water particles and the air particles get squished in the bottle which creates the cloud.
Thursday: On Thursday, we learned more about how the water particles collect up on the sides of the smoke particles to create clouds. They didn't have enough room in the closed bottle so they collected up on the smoke particles because they are attracted to them.
Friday: On Friday i was at Dorney(: and not in science :( oh darn (justkidding)
Thursday's homework question:
Why do you feel cold when you get out of the show
(I researched it)
When your skin is wet/damp, the process of evaporating the moisture off of your skin takes heat away from your skin. Therefor, when you are dry, and no evaporation is happening you feel warmer. For example, when you are playing sports, and you pour some of your water bottle on your head, it makes you feel cooler even if the water is kind of warm because in the process, it is taking away heat. Plus, i think this is also why you sweat cause your body is trying to cool off by the process of evaporation, or taking away heat.
